- You will create a Sway presentation (go to your "waffle" and find the app called "Sway") about your disorder. This is a fun way to present a topic that is visually appealing so be sure to include interesting pictures and/or videos.
- You will create a quiz that students will take after they watch your presentation on Sway. The quiz will be made through Office Forms (go to your "waffle" and find the app called "Forms"). Create a quiz that is no more than 5 items long.
- Both your Sway and Quiz will be shared using a link (the share option is in the top right corner when you are creating them) that you will send to [email protected]
What to include:
1) Begin with an introduction about:
- DNA and the human genome
- What is a genetic mutation?
- What causes genetic diseases?
2) Then address the following in order:
- What is the name of the disorder?
- How is the disorder diagnosed? How does a person get the disorder? Is it a DNA mutation or is it inherited?
- Find out all of the main signs and symptoms of the disorder. What is it like to have this disorder?
- Include related pictures to help explain.
- What types of treatment (if any) are available for the disorder?
- Plus any other information that you feel is important/interesting for others to know about the genetic disorder.
